I have the OMAP 35x Evaluation board, and I'm trying to enable the capture driver, so that I can run a loopback example, and eventually get it encoding what I give it as an input. I so far haven't been able to get the capture driver working, but I'm not sure if I'm doing things correctly. I've tried following the Getting Started Guide and the steps in the User guide to configure and rebuild the kernel, but I'm not sure what else I need to do. I'm trying to build and run the smMaploopback example, but I just get an error that says it can't open the capture device. It's looking for the video0 driver. Is this the correct driver it should be using for the capture driver?
Another question that may or may not be related to my problem above is how do I rebuild the root file system for the board? I've extracted the nfs file system that was provided on the DVD's but that file system doesn't match the file system that is on the board when you first boot it up. Is everything provided on the DVD's that is needed to rebuild the file system? I've never rebuilt a file system on something like this, so I'm not sure how I go about doing it. Any suggestions on how to get started?
Any help on these issues will be greatly appreciated.
