PCIe on A8

Hello,

I've seen on the ARM introductory page under the Sitara heading that the PCIe bus is included in the features:

http://www.ti.com/ww/en/embedded/arm/index.html?DCMP=TIHomeTracking&HQS=Other+OT+home_p_arm

Cache, RAM, ROM USB2.0, OTG, CAN, "PCIe", EMAC, LPDDR1, DDR2, PRU, SATA, 1.8V/3.V IO

Does anyone know which processor this list of features is referring to?

Also, is PCI or PCIe supported or planned in the A8 roadmap?

Thanks, Ken

  • Sorry for any confusion this might have caused.  This is not currently integrated on products available in the Sitara family.  It is targeted for availability on Sitara Cortex A8 devices around the end of this year.

  • Hello;

    I am currently designing with am18;

    but would like to know about upcoming Sitara cpus' features. So to plan other boards in the Plans...

    Can you please give me some links or at least the list of new features that will be added in new cpus.

    It's good for planning future PCBs while comparing with CPUs from other vendors.

    Thank You.
