BIOS5 usage in VC++

Hi, Champs,

My customer need to develop their test environment in VC++ and they use BIOS5 in their project. So, they want to know whether BIOS5 can be integrated in VC++ to do their codes test.

Could anybody share me any experiences about this? Thanks in advance.

Can you clarify what you mean by integrating BIOS5 into the test environment? What is the customer trying to do with their test environment? As you know BIOS runs on the DSP.

I believe BIOS6 can be run on the host. Moving to the BIOS forum so the BIOS team can reply.

Customer has tools in VC environment that can be used to do some codes check. They want to call BIOS API in VC project to simulate functionality of BIOS. Then they can use their tools.

If the question is whether a BIOS application can be run on a windows machine, the answer is yes, but that capability came with the release of BIOS 6.I don't believe there is a way to get there with BIOS 5.
