BIOS5 system log dump

Hi, Champs,

As we know, there is system log to keep the kernal schedule info in BIOS5. My customer want to know whether these info can be read directly by software and store them in memory, then they can send them to PC side to parse them?

Does anyone know any info about this? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the details.

Before jump into details of tests, I tried to check the buffer of log to interpret them manually first. But I found the LOG buffer will be cleared to 0xFFFFFFF periodically. Could you please comments this clear is done by BIOS or CCS? Thanks a lot.

If you have RTA support enabled in the target application, then the target will clear the records from the buffer as it reads them.

If you're confident that RTA has been removed from your app, though, then it may be that "stop mode" RTA, which reads the records from the target when it is halted, is reading and clearing the buffers when you halt the target.

I'm more knowledgeable about RTA in CCSv4, so I could be wrong, but those are my thoughts.
