Hi,

Does the HDMI of AM5728 support HDCP?

The specifications of the product of our customer must support HDCP.

There are following mentions in technical reference manual of AM5728.
11.3.1.1 HDMI Main Features
The HDMI module provides the following main features:
• HDMI 1.4a, HDCP 1.4, and DVI 1.0 compliant

However, there is no detailed information.

In addition,Will current ti-processor-sdk-linux support HDCP?

    There is no HDCP support in AM572x.

    Does HDCP not support AM572x as a device?
    Or AM572x supports HDCP for a device, and will our customer become able to use it by conditions such as the following?
    ・The NDA conclusion with TI company
    ・The license acquisition of the HDMI
    Because it is an important factor to have the product of the customer use AM572x, I want a certain answer.

    When AM572x does not support HDCP as hardware, please tell me what kind of solution there is in AM572x.
    It is thought that our customer use VOUT interface of am572x and use an HDMI transceiver of the HDCP support without using HDMI interface of AM572x.

    Hi Tsuda-san
    We are looking into this. I don't have a definitive answer yet for you.
    From a device/architecture standpoint HDCP is "likely"  supported.
    However the exact flow on how we can support the customer with it needs to be worked out.
    Additionally there is no current or planned support in SW as yet for HDCP in proc sdk.

    If this is a critical opportunity, please continue to engage your local TI team to enable follow up on this internally.

    I understood it as follows.
    ・AM5728 supports HDCP for a device and the architecture.
    ・Software such as present processror SDK does not support HDCP.
    ・A support system of TI company is not yet made.

    I will confirm it in local TI team.
