AM572x interface to ADV7343

Hi All

We are going to use ADV7343 for encoding 24-bit RGB out from LCD3 port to PAL. This encoder accepts RGB as input. But if we are giving input as progressive, it recommends 720x288@50Hz.

AM5728------>LCD3 Out(24 lines)----->ADV7343---->PAL

How can i configure this output resolution in device tree?

I have already written the driver for this by taking the help from panel-dpi driver and configured the same in device tree. Only resolution settings are left.

The resolution is configured in the panel dts. Have a look, for example, at am57xx-evm-common.dtsi:

Sorry, by mistake I referred to am335x devices, I've edited my previous post so it is referring to the correct am57xx device now.

The way you suggested, we can configure the resolution like this. But how can we set it at 50Hz?

Hi,
You could use the kernel commandline:
video=<conn>:<xres>x<yres>[M][R][-<bpp>][@<refresh>][i][m][eDd]

Or weston.ini configuration (modeline):
[output]
mode=50.00 800 480 2248 2576 1080 1083 1088 1120 -hsync +vsync /*parameters may vary depending on your use case*/

" Optionally, an user may specify a modeline, such as:

173.00 1920 2048 2248 2576 1080 1083 1088 1120 -hsync +vsync

It consists of the refresh rate in Hz, horizontal and vertical resolution, options for horizontal and vertical synchronisation."
