Starterware for i2c on L138/C6748 lcdk

It would be good for you to start with the LCDK wiki mentioned below to know the details on latest software available:

In my opinion, you shall download the omapl138 starterware package as mentioned in the below link, in which you shall run the VPIF loopback example available to understand the camera interfacing task thru. CCS:

After installation, you shall check the McASP audio playback example which uses I2C interface. Also, SPI and GPIO examples for omapl138 lcdk are also mentioned in the below paths:

Dear Mike,
We don't have much I2C slave devices on LCDK board other than AIC codec & Video decoder(TVP5147), that's why you are not able to find standalone I2C example for LCDK.
If you adding external i2c slave device to LCDK board then you can refer to the OMAP138EVM i2c example for reference.

Thank you, Sivaraj, for your post. I should have been more explicit in my OP: I am looking to communicate with a microcontroller such as Arduino via I2C. I will look over the references you have listed for clues as to how to proceed.

Thank you, Titus, for your answer. I am indeed adding an external slave device (a microcontroller) to be guided by the LCDK, which will do the real-time image processing. I will peruse the EVM example for clues as to how to address the microcontroller.
