The AM572x Schematic checklist on the wiki mentions VSS_RTC pin: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM572x_Schematic_Checklist#If_RTC_internal_oscillator_is_not_used

... continuing from above: the VSS_RTC is present on AM335x but it is not mentioned in AM572x datasheet. I assume this is a typo but will appreciate clarification.

Yes, you are right, the AM57x RTC uses common GND.
