How to covert NSP helloWorld example into BSD.

Thanks for the reply. What I am trying is to create a server socket. But I want the socket to be in BSD and then would like to replace that to the callback function of DaemonNew. Does this make sense?  I am trying to modify the HelloWorld example in the NSP, the reason I want to do this is so that I don't have to use the legacy socket interface.

So 

1) I have removed #include <netmain.h> from the udpHello.c and added #include <sys/socket.h>

2) Plan is to modify the dtask_udp_hello() to be BSD socket

3) But, as I compile without any real change to the dtask_udp_hello(), I get errors:IP6N has already been declared... 

It would be great if you could give me steps to add BSD socket to the helloWorld example.

well, in the same document you referred the Appendix F says the Legacy non-BSD socket would be removed in future but the DaemonNew the Network Tools Library Function creates a socket of type (SOCKET,UINT32) and the BSD socket is of type int. would that also be changed???

The DaemonNew command, could it be changed to support BSD socket ?
