Evaluation Module Unrecognized

I am Balamurugan from IIT Madras, India. We bought a Evaluation module from TI last month (TMDSEVM6678C). Code composer and other softwares were installed by following the procedure given in the CD which was given along with the evaluation module. In spite of doing the procedures properly the module is not recognized by a windows pc. I need help related to that.

  • Welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages (for processor issues). Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others may have asked on similar topics (e2e.ti.com). Please read all the links below my signature.

    Please provide the version of the packages installed(CCS and SDK etc). Please provide the screenshot of error and procedure to followed etc. Please follow below hardware setup guide wiki.

    Note: We strongly recommend you to create new e2e thread for your queries instead of following up on an old/closed e2e thread, new threads gets more attention than old threads and can provide link of old threads or information on the new post for clarity and faster response.

  • Hi balamurugan,
    Have you installed the Code compose studio IDE of TI ?
    When you install this with Multicore DSP support then it would install all the required board and debug related drivers to your PC.

    Please answer the following to help you specify to the problem.

    ==============================================

    1. Would you please brief out this statement?

    2. When you say the module is not recognized, you mean you connected the EVM through the On-board emulator with the PC through the UART-USB port of the EVM? DId you do the test connection using the .Cxml file? Did you run the Gel file?

    3. To which port of the EVM you connected to the PC? Would you please post the screenshot of the hardware connection as well what you actually got on the windows PC?
