Example project without a project file

Simple question I hope. I am using ccsv5 and recent BIOS and PDK downloads, etc..

I noticed that there are quite a few 'example' directories that will not work with the 'import a CCS project' mechanism.

One example is /ti/pdk_C6678_1_1_2_6/packages/ti/drv/srio/example/SRIOMulticoreLoopback

It contains source files, a linker file and

SRIO_MulticoreLoopbackexampleProject.txt

which is a list of the files in the directory and some hints for the compiler command line.

How do I import this into CCSv5 - there is no .cdt, .project, .cproject, etc file for the ccsv5 browser to key on.

Are these examples from older tools usage or am I missing the proper methodology ?

The CCS project files that you are looking for are located at :
pdk_C6678_1_1_2_6\packages\ti\drv\exampleProjects\SRIO_MulticoreLoopbackexampleProject

The source files will link to the srio/example/SRIOMulticoreLoopback folder that you have indicated.

I would like to suggest to download the latest processor SDK package.
www.ti.com/.../PROCESSOR-SDK-C667x

After download and install the processor SDK package, you have to create the projects on your own by referring the following TI wiki pages.
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_-_Create_PDK_projects
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Rebuilding_The_PDK
