64 bit XDS 100 Drivers

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320VC5505

Hi,

I'm running 64 bit Windows 7 professional.

I'm trying to get this board to connect but I can't get the drivers installed. I've updated Code Composer Studio with the 4.0.2 patch using the update options and tried running the drivers install .exe contained on the DVD that came with the board in 32 bit compatibility mode with no luck.

I'm wondering where to get the required drivers.

Can anyone lend a hand?

Thanks,

Matt

  • Note: I am trying to get the TMS320VC5505 eZdsp stick working. I'm not familiar with the layout of these forums if that was unclear.

  • Hi Matt,

I recently installed Code Composer on my a Windows 7 64-bit machine, and when I plugged in the eZdsp for the first time (after CCS was installed), Windows identified the correct drivers, and the eZdsp worked perfectly with CCS.

I did have to run CCS "as an Administrator" in order to update CCS to the latest version (Using Help --> Software Udates --> Find and Install from within CCS).

CCS installs the drivers required for the XDS100 device, so there could be a conflict if you plugged in the eZdsp before installing CCS.

You should check out this forum post and this wiki article if you continue to have USB connectivity problems.

    Hope this helps,
    Mark
