I'm starting the software effort for a custom board based (to some extent) on the Logic PD L138 SOM / Baseboard. I downloaded DaVinci-PSP-SDK-03.20.00.12.tgz and extracted the files to rebuild U-Boot as instructed here:
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:_Building_Software_Components_for_OMAP-L1#Rebuilding_U-Boot
I noticed that tar files within the DaVinci-PSP-SDK-03.20.00.12.tgz do not get extracted. This may be by design, but is confusing. I extracted u-boot-03.20.00.12.tar.gz and was able to rebuild the bootloader.
Questions:
1. Is DaVinci-PSP-SDK-03.20.00.12.tgz the place to start for the SDK?
2. http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:_Building_Software_Components_for_OMAP-L1#Rebuilding_U-Boot says that patches have already been applied, but the /src/u-boot directory contains u-boot-patches-03.20.00.12.tar.gz. Should I ignore it or extract it? There's also a Unified-patch-03.20.00.12.gz.
