DM368 McBSP Clock (CLKX & CLKR) configuration

I am using DM368 in my design with  TLV320AIC3104IR Audio codec.

DM368 and AIC31 is connected as below

MCBSP               AIC31

FSX           ->       WCLK

CLKX           ->       BCLK

DX               ->        DIN

DR              ->        DOUT

But in EVM ,I  have seen they shorted CLKX & CLKR to BCLK. Same FSX &FSR  they have shorted & they are using as a WCLK.

IS it required to short those colcks to generate  WCLK & BCLK of the audio codec?
