Hi,

my board use DM8168, TPS40400, and kernel 2.6.37.

I need an AVR closed-loop driver but it seems that it doesn't for our kernel. So I must write it but I cannot find any information about SmartReflex neither in Reference manual nor in Datasheet.

There exist a driver for our kernel?

Wher can I find Documents about SmartReflex?

I browse some posts in this forum but the informations seems to be conflicting.

Hi Margarita,

I already read those links, but I cannot find any informations about what I need.

For example do SmartReflex contains a temperature sensor? I need it also for application purposes, And I suppose it has one because in datasheet is reported

There are also conflicting informations. For example the address of register area: in the link is 0x48140000 and in Datasheet/refMan is 0x48188000.

And wahy there are two SmartReflex peripheral? Do they have different purposes?

Hi,

The information is not conflicting. The description in the FAQ/AVS user guide clearly says in a Note colored green

" Note: If you see the message mentioned above during kernel boot, then the device is not characterized(does not have nTarget values). To confirm whether you have a characterized silicon or not, you may check the Memory mapped registers of the efuses at U-Boot prompt as shown below"

These efuse registers are blown with pre-calculated sensor configuration values on devices that support Smartreflex/AVS.

And there are two Smartreflex instances for better response to changes in the system.

SR0 has Higher Voltage threshold sensor and SR1 has Standard voltage threshold sensor. They respond differently based on the voltage changes required in the system.
