AM572x compatibility with ITU-R BT.656 video format

Hi,

Good day!!

I have questions about AM572x.

Presently I am working on TI's AM572x chip. My requirement is to stream and record inputs from 4 analog cameras and for that purpose I am using Intersil TW9966  4 channel video decoder. The decoded video output from TW9966 is in BT.656 (8bit) format.

As per my understanding in BT656 format, the sync signals & the field will be embedded in the data stream.  So do this sitara chip AM572X supports BT.656 input format ??

As we know Video input pins of AM572X consist of (D0-D7, Hsync, Vsync, Field Id, data enable and clock signal). At the same time TW9966 decoder does not have dedicated pins for hsync, vsync, field id and data enable.

So if I  interface only the 8 bit data stream  from TW9966 to Sitara AM572x chips video input pins will it works?? what should I do with the remaining pins (Hsync, Vsync, Field Id, data enable) in Am572x chip? stay unconnected?

Awaiting for valuable reply from TI.

BR,

Paul
