Whether TPS65917 LDOVRTC ( pin 44 ) will always provide 1.8V power supply?

Hi expert:

TPS65917, when provide 5V power supply, but PWRON ( pin 24 ) always keep and did not trigger on sequence, whehter LDOVRTC ( pin 44 ) can provide 1.8V power supply to external IC?

From datasheet 5.4.2.2 LDOVRTC descript, it is always on function. Customer design want use LDOVRTC provide power supply to external RTC. They want keep RTC when TDA2E power off mode.

Hi Tao,

Yes, LDOVRTC is always-on. It is automatically enabled and supplies voltage when VCCA(pin 42) is powered. Unlike the other 5 LDOs, LDOVRTC cannot be configured neither by SPI nor by I2C. It is also not sensitive to the PWRON signal which puts the PMIC in OFF state. In that state all resources except LDOVRTC are not available. LDOVRTC is also used to power the internal PMIC logic so it should be always-on.
