How to add new algorithm function in VisionSDK?

Hi all,

My code base is VISION_SDK_02_10_00_00 and running SYS/BIOS.

I want to add my algorithm function in VisionSDK and run on DSP.

I refer the documents under vision_sdk\docs. And I refer the usecase example and trace the usecase flow in VisionSDK under vision_sdk\examples\tda2xx\src\usecases\xxx.

I find the chains_xxx_StartApp() in chains_xxx.c, and I think the algorithm will start work after call the following two functions.

chains_xxx_Start(&pObj->ucObj);

Chains_prfLoadCalcEnable(TRUE, FALSE, FALSE);

But I also had no idea for how to add my algorithm in VisionSDK.

Could anyone please give me an example or some hints?

Thanks in advance.

  • Sherry,

    Kindly refer vision_sdk\docs\VisionSDK_DevelopmentGuide.pdf section 4, especially 4.3

    You can also refer examples algorithm plugins under vision_sdk\examples\tda2xx\src\alg_plugins. Alg_ObjectDetection works on DSP which you can refer.
  • Hi Yogesh,

    I have also experienced similar problems, I would like to ask whether the practice is wrong.

    I refer the ALGORITHM_LINK_DSP_ALG_DMA_SWMS case to create my new algorithm.
    ...
    ALGORITHM_LINK_DSP_ALG_MYALG = 26,
    ALGORITHM_LINK_DSP_ALG_MAXNUM = 27,
    ...

    and add AlgorithmLink_myalg_initPlugin() on ./vision_sdk/src/links_common/algorithm/algorithmLink_cfg.c

    my usecases flow is
    Capture->VPE->Sync_sv->Alg_DmaSwMs(DSP)->Alg_myalg(DSP)->Display_sv

    but, I can not success make, it will appear the following error message:
    ---error message line start----------------

    Excuse me, this is what causes it? What I did not notice it?

    Thanks and Regards,

  • JengWei,

    Does this problem still persist? You can always build without -s option to see proper build log. From your log its clear that its a linker error although I cant see which symbol is unresolved, please build without -s to see that.
