In Section 1.4 of the JPEG Encoder User’s Guide for the DM365, it mentions one limitation of the JPEG Encoder is that it does not support progressive scan. This limitation is confusing me. From my understanding the video frame is fully in memory after passing through the VPFE before the JPEG Encoder receives the frame. At this point the frame is no longer separated into two separate fields for interlaced images. If this is the case, why would the JPEG Encoder care (or how would it even know) if the frame came from an interlace scan camera or a progressive scan camera?
Thx,
