SDRAM interface on TMS320C6745BPTP3

I have an urgent question for the factory about the TMS320C6745BPTP3:  The datasheet on the web still says the maximum operating frequency is 300MHz.  It also says that the maximum SDRAM clk frequency is 133MHz.  Is TMS320C6745BPTP3 the correct part number for the 375MHz version?  More importantly, I need confirmation about whether or not we can expect the max SDRAM clk frequency to scale along with the processor speed.  I.e. if the core can run at 375MHz, can the SDRAM interface run reliably at 166MHz?

  • Hi

I will request the marketing team or datasheet owner to confirm on the 375MHz part number (if it exists for c6745)

Even if there is a 375MHz part, the EMIFB SDRAM interface will still be spec'd at 133 MHz max. No plans to offer the EMIFB i/f running at 166MHz.

  • TMS320C6745BPTP3 is the correct part number for 375 MHz, revision B silicon, commercial temp.

The A or B afte rthe "6745" means silicon revision A or B.

For silicon revision A, the 3 at the end means 300 MHz.

For silicon revision B, the 3 at the end means 375 MHz.

The EMIFB speed does not scale with the CPU speed, the EMIFA is still 133 MHz maximum.

An updated data sheet for this part should be on ti.com within a couple of weeks.
