Hello,

We are working with AM437x GPEVM and trying to use the onboard XDS100V2 emulator to read the SYSBOOT tracing vector. Can you please me the DSS Script file for AM4378 for CCS6.1.

Can you also send the manual for reading the jtag port using onboard XDS100V2 emulator?

Hello Yordan,
We have designed a Single board computer (SBC) based on AM4378. We are trying to bring up this board. At the moment, this new board is not booting even from the SD card. Therefore we have connected this board via the JTAG port (FTDI (XDS100v2) USB based) and want to read the trace vectors using Code composer Studio 6.1.

As per the TI's board bring up document (Refer: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../AM335x_board_bringup_tips), "Analysing boot issues with CCS and JTAG" , we need the DSS script file for AM4378 to load in the scripting console of CCS.

For booting, we have generated a modified ARAGO bootable kernel to suit our board. This kernel boots on the TI's GP-EVM (albeit with some errors due to some hardware differences between TI GPEVM and our new board)) - But our board does not boot at all.
Can please send us the AM437x-boot.dss ?

Things for AM4378 should be similar, however you'll have to create different target configuration with the "Data Snapshot viewer": CrashDumpAnalysis_AM437x.ccxml instead of CrashDumpAnalysis_C66x.ccxml.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. Please see the am335x-boot.dss file for AM355x at the following link.

We want above kind of .dss file for AM4378 processor. This is required to be loaded (scripting console) in code composer studio to interpret the jtag data coming on the XDS100V2 USB port and create am437x-boot-analysis file. Can you please send the required .dss file for am4378?

That dss file is something that I wrote for convenience. I haven't had a chance to "port" the file to AM437x. For now, all the info you need related to the tracing vectors can be found in the AM437x TRM in Section 5.2.12 "Tracing".
