Differences between AM3703CBP100 and AM3703CUS100

Guru 16800 points

Hello,

Is there any hardware migration guide from AM3703CBP100 to AM3703CUS100?
Some function pins cannot be used by changing from AM3703CBP100 to AM3703CUS100.
I will check the datasheet; however I want to avoid a misunderstanding.

Best Regards,

Nomoto

  • Hi Nomoto,

There is no hardware migration guide from AM3703CBP100 to AM3703CUS100 but you should consider the differences between both packages described in the datasheet:
    www.ti.com/.../am3703.pdf
CBP Suffix - 515-pin s-PBGA package, 0.5mm Ball Pitch (Top), 0.4mm Ball Pitch (Bottom)
    CUS Suffix - 423-pin s-PBGA package, 0.65mm Ball Pitch

  • Hello,

Thank you for your reply and I can understand there is no hardware migration guide from AM3703CBP100 to AM3703CUS100.
    I have a question.
Please let me know whether differences between AM3703CBP100 and AM3703CUS100 are only pin mux and placement.
I expect the internal functions are identical; for example, each macro function, register map, and so on.

    Best Regards,

    Nomoto

  • Nomoto,

Both processors (AM3703CBP100 and AM3703CUS100) are identical as internal functions and as register map. The difference is only in the form factor and pin mux.
