Hello,

Could you please tell me any issues with the type of implementation of reset to AM572x, as shown in the below snip?

The RESET from TPS3820 will go to PORZ of AM572x. I think as TPS3820 has watchdog it will meet the errata i842, i862 needs?

Does the CLKOUT or I/Os from AM572x comes to TPS3820's WDI within the watchdog timeout?

Hi Srinivas,

The schematic you refer to uses AM18xx device, which is NOT the same as AM572x.
Please refer to AM572x GP EVM schematic: www.ti.com/.../getliterature.tsp for reference.

I was thinking this circuit is similar to the one with TPS3820?

Is it not possible to implement the errata with, let's say not TPS3820 but something similar device which has watchdog timer?

Please recommend watchdog timeout value?

Hi Srinivas,

Yes, it is possible to use external watchdog, as described in the errata. I may have caused a confusion with the comment about TPS3820 (I mistakenly took it for a pmic, while it is a supervisory circuit... I edited my post), it should possible to make it work with that device.
However, I am not aware of a reference design using external watchdog, which you can take as an example.. That is why I recommended adopting the implementation used in AM5728 GP EVM.
