Hi, I'm running A TMS320VC5505 off of a 12MHz external clock. I realize that the 5505 needs to be powered up in a sequence with the core voltages coming up first and the peripheral and bus voltages coming up second as described in I can't find any place in the datasheet that decribes the timing of how these should come up on power up. Is there any timing? In section 6.3.1 it says that I have to wait until the the core supplies reach .9V I cant exceed a voltage of 1.65V... Is this the only requirement?

Hi,

The link is TI internal only. The contents is following:

1. Apply power to the ANA_LDOI, DSP_LDOI, CVDDRTC, CVDD (Vdda_ana and Vdda_pll will be powered by ANA_LDOO)

2. Apply power to I/Os: DVDDIO, DVDDEMIF, DVDDRTC.

I/O voltages should not ramp above 1.65V before Core reaches 0.9V. I did not include USB powers becase you said that USB would not be used. You don't need to supply power to USB if it is not being used.

Please note that DSP_LDOI should be powered even if it is not used.

Again, it's the same. No other conditions.
