Dear Engineers

I have 3 questions.

1. Using H.264 High Profile Codec, Can TDA2E encode 720p30 4-ch simultaneously ?

2. Using H.264 High Profile Codec, can TDA2E decode 720p30 4-ch simultaneously ?

3. Which OS Version supports A/V Encoding/Decoding ? RTOS or Linux ?

If you have vision SDK you can go to ti_components/algorithms_codecs/<encoder/decoder version>/packages/ti/sdo/codecs/h264<enc/dec>/docs

There you will see a data sheet which performance numbers. Briefly on your first two questions yes you can do 4ch 720 encode or 720p decodes @ 30 fps.

On #3, It depends on your usecase, do you want to run linux on A15 or you are ok with Sysbios? Depoending upon that you need look at particular SDK.

Regarding the OS of A15, i'd like to use Sysbios for fast booting.

In this case the video encode/decode usecase is already implemented on A15 ?

Ok. Vision SDK should suffice in that case. We have a usecase vision_sdk/examples/tda2xx/src/usecases/vip_single_cam_view_encdec
You can extend it to 4ch and trim it as you need (Just enc or dec).
