Highest version of the linux kernel for DM6446T SoC

As we know，linux 2.6.18 is Obsolete. But based on official material, the highest version of the linux kernel for DM6446T SoC is 2.6.18. So, should the higher version, eg. linux 2.6.38,  support DM6446T SoC？
