Camera Resolution from TDA3x CAL_A

Our customer wants to get the input of the two cameras from CSI2 on TDA3x.

Each camera input resolution is 1280 * 1024 yuv422 16bit.

This is possible ? and what is the max resolution to receive from CSI2 on TDA3x?

Hello JP Park,

TDA3x ISS support stereo camera use case with up to 1920x1080 resolution. Note there is only one CSI2(CAL_A) sensor capture interface. For details refer to the Imaging Subsystem chapter (requires NDA).

JP Park,

I don't seem to locate a confirmation in the source docs for 60 fps. I have looped camera team for further "real world" experience if this resolution is supported at that frame rate.

Hi JP Park,

This should be possible, I presume they plan to use 4 data lanes to connect sensor to CAL

1. The SRV demo application uses 1280x720 12bit / pixel @ 30 FPS for 4 channels. It works as expected (no dropped frames)
2. CAL is clocked at 212 MHz, i.e. it can process 212 MPixels / second
3. There is no limit on the number of lines that could be written. Please refer register WR_DMA_CTRL
