Hi Team,

Kindly enlighten me on way(s) to allow the driving of DVI female/output socket from TMS320DM365 (Digital Media System-on-Chip).

Please recommend any TI interface IC that will link up the path from TMS320DM365 Video Image Co-processor output to DVI female/output socket.Will TFP410 does the job? If yes, please share the connections diagram.

TMS320DM365 is to drive a DVI female socket within the product. This DVI output port is to be connected to external LCD monitor via cable.

The application is to capture real time images and output HD images to external LCD monitor thru the DVI ports at both ends (product and LCD).

TFP410 will be your best bet among TI products (others have HDCP enabled, which I assume you might not want), and I think it should be OK.

Just to clariy: VPBE connects to DVI transmitter, and then DVI transmitter connects to the DVI connector.

We don't have a reference design at the moment, but I think you can use the beagle board as a reference. please see page 80 of http://beagleboard.org/static/BBSRM_latest.pdf, it connects to tfp410 via rgb888. You can simply replace omap3 with dm365.

look at leopardboard.rog - they have an adapter board. Beware that their driver support only RGB666 and not RGB888

The connections there are for an RGB888 connection
