I use DM37X 8500d embest dev kit. The two camera slots i.e 1)CCD camera 2) USB camera I have to capture images from these and initially just display them on the TFT screen and later as I get to know about this I will go for image processing of captured images.

page 42,43 they have told about V4l2 layer. And also on page 43 they have given kernel-driver refrence paths those are c-files given.
Now as I am working on linux host machine which has v4l2 driver and I learnt capturing images from this site: 
Now I programmed in C and capture my first image using laptop webcam.
This is not all.. Now how do I program my two cameras and capture and put that image on tft using dm37x board. Am i on right track by learning v4l2 programming or I had to invest learning something else? Should I use code composer studio ?
