Dear Champs,

Could you please let me know if our 10G MDIO can support XMDIO(Clause 45)?
Could you please check and provide guide how they can set it to use XMDIO in their SW?

My customer failed to work 10G Ethernet and their 10G Ethernet PHY was Marvell's 88x3310. Marvell said XMDIO(Clause 45) should be supported, not MDIO(Clause 22).

Is it possible if our device can support XFIMDIO(Clause 45) at least even when it is not proven yet?

From the e2e link you shared, it seemed there is a customer who is successfully implemented XFIMDIO, but it was connected to MDIO, not XFI.
Then, does this mean XFI will not be used for XFI MDIO? and customer should use MDIO to implement XFI MDIO?
Could you please check and make clear on this?

As I mentioned in https://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/c6000_multi-core_dsps/f/639/p/540802/1979803#1979803, the k2e-net.dtsi in MCSDK release has example of supporting clause 45, mdiox. Because we don't have the hardware, it is not tested. Our test setup is using Mistral RTM BoC which uses retimer not PHY, but we still keep the mdiox configuration in the dtsi file for reference.

I understand we have not verified SW for XFI MDIO, but what I want to check with you is the HW design guide for XFI MDIO and you can confirm if our 66AK2H14 device is compliance on XFI MDIO although SW is not verified.
i.e. I want to check if XFI MDIO compliance PHY like Marvell's 88x3310 can be connected to 66AK2H14, and how it should be connected.
I need to provide our recommended HW configuration to customer for XFI MDIO at least because it seemed Marvell's 88x3310 is only support XFI MDIO.
