TI-RTOS h.264 codec support for AM5728?

As far as i know, AM5728 has TI-RTOS version of Processor-SDK. I have an application that need to do H.264 encoding/decoding, but i am still wondering whether TI provide codec support for AM5728 in TI-RTOS environment.

Is it a must for me to use linux to accomplish H264 encoding/decoding task via IVA-HD?

Short answer is yes we use Linux for the application level (A15) and R-TOS for IVAHD codecs (Cortex-M4). The communication is via IPC.

so i cannot use sysbios for cortex-a15 if i wanna do encoding or decoding work, am i correct?

Hi, you potentially could, however, our Linux Processor SDK is multimedia ready. I don't think (but I will confirm) we have the framework ready on our R-TOS processor SDK for using IVAHD, so you would have to develop it.

Hi, After checking with our Processors SDK developers, I confirmed that IVAHD codec, M4-firmware could be re-used but you will need more components on A15 side in RTOS which are not currently in the SDK.
