We are currently evaluating SOC which has am ARM cpu and an FPGA, the latter performs as a HSR / PRP Redbox, it work okay, however it has two drawback cost and power consumption.
The PRU-ICSS HSR/PRP package is designed for the Sitara processor family (with PRU-ICSS IP) for HSR PRP Dual Attached Nodes, how much of a stretch would it be to move from DAN to Redbox?
