Hello,

In the Hardware design Guide for Keystone 1 devices (SPRABI2C—August 2013)

On page 21, the second from the last paragraph stated the final capacitor selection is determined using the provided capacitor selection tool (see spreadsheet and application note).

I am trying to find out if the spreadsheet is still available, if so how can i locate it?

Also what application note is it referring to?

Devon,

I am not aware that a tool was ever productized and released. We recommend that you follow the tables in the Hardware Design Guide or use the C6657 EVM as a reference. The alternative is full 3D simulation of the Power Distribution Network which is very time consuming.

We have a preliminary tool on a wiki page for a similar product at: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/DM816x_Design_Resources#Power_distribution_decoupling. There are also 2 presentations on that wiki that provide useful background. This tool was never fully productized.
