Qt App Development For Processor SDK Linux Automotive

Hello -

I am using the Vayu ES 2.0 Infotainment EVK, Rev H with Automotive Linux from Processor SDK Linux Automotive version 03.00.00. . Actual version = 20160726105627

I have a QT 5.5 app that I run on Ubuntu 16.04 and need to port it to this platform. However, I'm not able to find the Qt kit to build and load this app. Is there any documentation describing how to develop Qt apps for Vayu ES 2.0 EVK running Processor SDK Linux Automotive. Any links to documentation would be helpful.

Kaushal,

The linux_devkit is not bundled as part of the installer. You will need to build the Yocto file system as follows:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_Linux_Automotive_Software_Developers_Guide

Once Yocto is built, the sysroot is available under:
ti-processor-sdk-linux-automotive_dra7xx-evm_03_00_00_03/yocto-layers/build/arago-tmp-external-linaro-toolchain/sysroots/dra7xx-evm

You can then use the following page to connect Qt creator to Vayu EVM. The paths for files will need to be picked from the above sysroots:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Sitara_Linux_Training:_Hands_on_with_QT

Anand - Thanks. By any chance is the pre built file system along with the Qt kit available to download?

Hi Kaushal,

No, the prebuilt file system is not available for download on 3.00. We will take your request into consideration to publish the sysroots for 3.01 release (will be available by 21-Oct).
