How to set and get IPv6 default gateway?

Hello,

I want to set IPv6 address, mask and default gateway. I used IPv6AddAddress() to set IPv6 address and mask successfully. But I don't know how to set ang get the default dateway. 

Any idea how to do this? Thanks a lot for helping.

 

My board is EK-TM4C1294XL. TI-RTOS TivaC 2.16.01.14 and NDK 2.25.00.09

    Hi,

    This should be done for you automatically. Do you know if you have a router present on your network?

    When IPv6 starts up (in the NDK, or any IPv6 stack), it performs neighbor discovery (ND). Part of this process Router Solicitation (RS) and Router Advertisement (RA).

    The NDK will send out a RS packet, which asks all routers on the network to respond. If present, a router will respond with an RA packet.

    When the RA packet is received, a default route is entered into the IPv6 routing table for the router(s) that responded.

    You should see this in wireshark if you do. The router will respond with an ICMPv6 RA packet, after the NDK sends out its RS packet.

    Can you make a Wireshark capture and check for this?
