feedthrough balls unconnected when not using pop memory

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP3530

Hello,

I am using a CBB package with discrete memory, not PoP.

I suppose it is fine to leave all PoP feedthrough balls disconnected in that case, am I correct? It is my understanding these are simply wires from bottom to top correct?

Thank you.

Yes and yes, the feedthrough balls do not connect to the silicon die at all, they are just there to power or otherwise connect the PCB to the PoP device, this is mentioned in section 2.5.10 of the OMAP3530 datasheet.
