UBL files on the DM365 EVM

Hey guys:

I was going through some of the UBL code for the DM365 and noticed that there are 4 different UBL binary files available:

UBL_DM36x_NAND_ARM297_DDR277_OSC27.bin
UBL_DM36x_NAND_ARM297_DDR270_OSC27.bin
UBL_DM36x_NAND_ARM297_DDR216_OSC24.bin
UBL_DM36x_NAND_ARM297_DDR173_OSC19P2.bin

Do you know which one comes shipped with the EVM and why are there 4 of these files? Is there a document somewhere that explains the reason for these different UBL files and what you can and can't do with these?

Hey guys:

I found documentation that indicates which UBL file was burned into FLASH on the DM365 EVM - UBL_DM36x_NAND.bin. However what are these other 4 files listed above for? Any docs on what these applications these pertain to?

Hi Tim,

Each one of those binaries are to configure pll to drive ARM and DDR at different clock configurations from the base clock on EVM.

For Ex: UBL_DM36x_NAND_ARM297_DDR216_OSC24.bin: configures ARM @ 297 MHz and DDR @ 216 MHz from the 24 Mhz oscillator present on DM365 EVM.

Hi Tim,

You should get the pre-built binaries from: http://arago-project.org/files/releases/davinci-psp_3.x.0.0-r37/board-utils/board-utils-davinci.tar.gz

Can you let me know where you found the other pre-built binaries? I searched quickly in the pre-built binary tar ball and in the sources, but could not find the files you pointed to.
