AM572x SDK 3.01 Video Analytics Demo

I am trying to run the Video analytics demo from the Matrix GUI.
The demo is documented at:
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Processor_SDK_Demos_Video_Analytics

I click run and the demo start with the "connect to camera" menu.
I choose 1 since the camera is connected to /dev/video1.
I keep the default for the other settings.

The demo exits immediately after I input the camera settings.
I checked the dmesg but there is no specific message displayed.

Any guidelines on how to run the demo?

Hi Antony,

Are they using a custom board or a modified SDK source? I tested this on my AM572x EVM, running SDK03.00.00.04 and the Video Analytics demo works fine.

Hi Yordan,

I am just using the AM5728 EVM with the pre-built files of the latest SDK 3.01.
Have you tried this latest SDK?

Hi Yordan,

I have rebooted and it seems now to work. I think the main issue is touch screen. Using a mouse works much better.

It is the second time that the below happen.
After boot I get the "Please wait ...." message for ever on the LCD.

I have not made any changes to the file system. Any subsequent reboot gives the same "Please wait ...." message appears for ever.
The matrix does not appear.

If i do:
root@am57xx-evm:~#/etc/init.d/matrix-gui-2.0 stop
Stopping Matrix GUI applicationstart-stop-daemon: warning: killing process 1158: No such process
.

If I do:
root@am57xx-evm:~# /etc/init.d/matrix-gui-2.0 start
/home/root
Removing stale PID file /var/run/matrix-gui-2.0.pid.
Starting Matrix GUI application.

But matrix is not displayed anymore.

Any ideas?
