I am wondering about OPC UA implementaton on TI RTOS for TM4C129EXL device.

Do you have hints or suggestions? Is it available now?

Hi Daniel,

TI-RTOS currently does not have support for OPC UA protocol.

The reason probably is because this is first time we have been requested for this feature. Currently, we do not have plans to implement OPC into TI-RTOS but we may consider adding if it is popularly requested.

Oh,ok. Thats sounds good. However I have a project to communicate over opc ua.
I am wondering to implement the opc ua based on opcfoundation.org/.../ansi-c-stack-source-code
Into rtos environment.

Do you have any suggestion or idea before I start the work?

I am not familiar with the OPC protocol, so I don't have any particular suggestion. But when you are porting the OFC stack to TI-RTOS, if you need any help with the TI-RTOS APIs don't hesitate to post us a question. We would be glad to help.

Hi Daniel,

I do no have experience with that particular OPC UA stack. However we worked with the Matrikon stack on AM572x using Sys/Bios. It was really a very easy porting process. They provide examples for several platforms and modifications to adapt networking components to the TI NDK was not difficult. However we only developed a very basic demo and as this stack is a 3P product we are not going any further. As far as I know Matrikon is now working on addition support for TI platforms.
