Hello,

You could check the Video Input Port(VIP) chapter in the TRM.

"Support for a single external asynchronous pixel clock, up to 165MHz per port."
Since the max supported pixel clock is 165MHz, it should be able to support 1920x1080p30

Hi,

Max VIP input, as defined in vip.c driver is:
#define MAX_W 2048
#define MAX_H 1536

However, my understanding is that theoretically VIP should be able to support all resolutions, as long as they can be handled by the maximal pixel clock of the VIP module, which is 165MHz.

The resolution you ask about 1080p30 requires: 1920x1080x30 = 62208000 Hz pixel clock, so AM572x should be able to support it.
