DM368 input video resolution

Hi

I have a sensor which is capable of giving 16:9 video output at 2304*1296 resolution(3M). I want to capture this video at the same resolution for not compromising on FOV and resize it to 1080p. Currently the video is being captured from sensor after cropping it to 1080p. So there is a FOV compromization. I am using DM368 processor. Is that possible to do such a thing? If yes, where i have to make changes for this.

Thanks in Advance :)

  • Hi,
Could you please check the max resolution supported in the capture driver?

    thanks

  • Hi Mathew,

This can be scaled in the camera sensor itself before giving out the pixels. There used to be SCALE_N and SCALE_M parameter which you have to configure along with the binning to achieve this scaling. If you can't get exactly 1920x1080, then scale to the closest resolution from the camera sensor and do the rest in the DM368 resizer.

Will be able to tell the exact register if you provide the data sheet of the camera sensor. If it is confidential, please check with your camera sensor vendor.
