Hi,

My customer reported CTT(EtherCAT Conformance Test Tool) failure with below configuration.

Device : AM3357
ISDK : v2.1.2.2
CTT version 2.0.42.0 (Test Library Version 1.1.0.0) See attached CTT_Version.jpg for details.

Test description:
Customer configures “CoE SdoInfo” to “FALSE” in ESI file with EtherCAT Slave.
Then tested “TF-1100 Data Link Layer.Error Reply Service Data (CoE). MBXERR_SERVICENOTSUPPORTED”.
It fails with below message.

It seems the ISDK is tested with “CoE SdoInfo” to “TRUE”.
Could you try this parameter with “FALSE” ?

Hi KoT, did your customer changed as well the stack?

I will ask our developers if we have test our EtherCAT slave without CoE (maybe we haven't) but in any case please check in your side the stack was also modified accordingly.

Thanks for your quick reply!

Customer is using 2.1.2.2 and it seems there is no ecat_def.h file in this version.
I found below parameter in \sysbios_ind_sdk_02.01.02.02\sdk\protocols\ethercat_slave\ecat_appl\patch\TI_AM335x_2i1i0i1.xml

Is this what customer needs to change like this ?

Hi KoT, please follow instructions on how to build EtherCAT slave using Beckhoff source stack. You will need to patch the stack.
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../SYSBIOS_Industrial_SDK_02.01.01_User_Guide. Then, you will see ecat_def.h file

Paula,

Customer has concern if COE_SUPPORTED is 0, CoE itself is not supported.
Customer’s intention is that CoE is supported but only SDO info is not supported.
Anyway customer will try this.

Did you get any feedback from the development team ?

Hi KoT, after checking with our developers, from what we see in ecat_def.h, it is not possible to disable SDO without disabling CoE. However, because we are using Beckhoff EtherCAT stack, please encourage your customers to post this question on EtherCAT/ETG forums for better support (product don't own by TI).

Hi Paula,

Thanks for updates.

Customer does not want to disable entire SDO feature. They wants to disable only “SDO Info”.
According to customer, SDO has “Upload”, “Download” and “Info” services.
Then “Upload” and “Download” are mandatory, but “Info” is an optional.

Could you double check disabling only “SDO Info” is really not possible in current implementation ?

Hi KoT, I believe this issue was resolved by your customer after changing slave stack (PINDSW-1137). If you know what it was solution please let us know, maybe it would be helpful to another user =). I will mark this E2E as resolved.
