I tried opening the files below in OrCAD PCB Viewer and I get errors when opening, can you please review this and let me know what is the next step?

Thanks for getting back to me, for the IDK I was able to open via PCB Free viewer by renaming the file name removing symbol characters in the file name.

for "tidria6b\CM_A1 LM_A2a PM_A3a"

board file I get ( _CM folder ) :

"ERROR(SPMDBH-238): The database is corrupted. It may have been copied from a difference architecture using ASCII Mode... copy using binary mode."

_LM, _PM Folder EVMs in the file open properly. Which one should I use to review layout folder?

Hi Folks,

Just to recap, we are having problems trying to open the native layout and project files for the AM5728 IDK /EVM boards in Altium. True, the files contained on the link are not Altium based, however, Altium can successfully convert files from other CAD systems, including Cadence/Allegro. Interestingly enough, Altium had no problem converting the camera sensor board files. When trying to convert the AM5728 IDK board, the following error occurs: "Please use the ASCII (*.ALG) file format instead." Please help deliver native CAD (e.g. Proj, Schem, Layout, Gerbers, etc.) for IDK or any other development kit that has an AM5728 w/DDR near it.

Sorry, AM57x reference designs are available in OrCAD (schematic)/Allegro (layout) format only. I will ask the board design team if they can help. Feedback will be posted here when available.

Hi Biser,

OrCAD /Allergo is fine, the request is can we get the native full project? Altium conversion tool needs this to properly convert the layout.

We were able to able to import the camera EVM Orcad/Allegro files without issues into Altium and so my assumption is that the IDK files are somehow corrupted.

Feedback I received is: TI provides the design files used to build the EVM, as they are, without any additional support.
