TMS320C6457 internal memory question.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6457

Does this device have any non-volatile internal memory that can be written to?

Is this called out anywhere in the datasheet?

  • Jason,

No, the TMS320C6457 does not have any internal non-volatile memory.

None of the C6000 or Keystone devices have non-volatile memory. They do have ROM for booting, of course, but that cannot be written to.

Many of the devices use eFuses which are not user accessible. These are burned open or left intact during the manufacturing process for various TI-use-only purposes.

For what purpose are you asking for this?

    Regards,
    RandyP
  • The purpose is to ensure there can be no user information stored in the device once we remove it from the circuit card.
