why not provide 0.8mm-pitch ball package? it's not low-cost anymore!!!!!!

0.65mm is more expensive than 0.8mm in making PCB。and many semiconductor companies donot provide 0.65mm yet.

in my design, i have spend more “indirect cost” than my rival, GOD!

  • The ZUT package has 0.8mm pitch.

  • sorry,i am talking about dm3x,not dm6x. BTW,dm6x doesnot have any competitive power in low-cost solution.

  • Sure it does, called the dm3x.

You may continue to complain using vague references, but please be thoughtful of your desired result. For example, if you expected your first posting to result in TI offering a new package for all DaVinci processors, that is not likely. In other words, please make your feedback specific and detailed.

If you have technical issues, please continue to post those here, too.

Please continue following the expanding and improving TI families of Embedded Processors. We are always adding new devices to the families, enhancing existing devices, improving cost and performance and power for EP applications, and offering new package options. Although other companies may have different tradeoffs, such as package cost and board space; but manufacturing cost plays a big part in most products so your concerns are understood.

  • you may know HIKVISION, who was your biggest DSP customer, has given up DAVINCI AND C6XXX.

    why? you konw that!

and i believe many engineers will be more pleased to use 0.8mm for their design.

all i want to say/complain is: it 's very simple for TI to provide a 0.8mm package, but why not? continue losing customer? i don't konw.
