Hi,
I am trying to load a bsp to the NOR flash for OMAP3517 at a specified address. Here is my configuration:
1. Custom board with OMAP3517 Cortex A8 core
2. Signum JTAG
3. CCS 4.1.2.00027
I have done the following so far:
1. Selected the target as OMAP 3515 since OMAP 3517 was not available as on selecting the "Signum JTAGjet Emulator"
2. Specified the OEM provided gel file
3. Tools->Launch TI Debugger
4. Target->Connect Target and the connection was successful.
5. Now, I tried to load my bsp which is xxxx.bin file. To do that I selected Target->Load Program and then selected the xxxx.bin file.
6. I got the following error: "Invalid File Format".
I have the following questions:
1. I believe I cannot load the .bin file directly. I will need to convert this to .out. Is this correct? If yes, how do I convert .bin to .out? Or is there a way to load .bin files.
2. How do I ensure that the file (.bin or .out) gets loaded to the specified address in the NOR flash? Where do I specify this address while loading.
