AM437x RGMII series resistors

Hi,

I'd like to use the same PHY Ethernet shown in the AM437x GP EVM schematic (KSZ9031RNX).


I saw on the GP EVM schematic that there are 22ohm series resistors on each RGMII signal. But I can't find anything about those resistors in the datasheet and the technical reference manual.


Is it necessary to keep them in my design ? If so, should I place them next to the processor IOs or next to the PHY Ethernet pins in my PCB layout ? Is there any piece of information about it ?
