Hi,
We are designing a PCB by taking AM5728 EVM as reference.
The one of differencies is that we don't need power on button. So can we just remove power button?
Will CPU start correctly and answer to TPS659037 within 8 seconds?
Should we program TPS659037?
Regards.
Hi Alexander,
This question may be better asked in the PMIC forum but I will try to answer. Section 5.4.2 / Table 5-8 of the TPS659037 datasheet is a table of supported power-on conditions. One of which is applying a high level to the POWERHOLD pin. That specific pin is 5.25V tolerant so it can be pulled up with a resistor, resistor divider, power good, or supply voltage suporvisor to your input supply. The OFF2ACT and ACT2OFF sequences will be run as soon as power is applied or removed as long as any condition in Table 5-9 isn't present.
Regards,
Ahmad
