AM437x VAR-SOM-AM43 and TI-RTOS

Hello all, I am trying to start TI-RTOS on VAR-SOM-AM43(AM4378 processor ). I downloaded SDK(ti-processor-sdk-rtos-am437x-evm-03.01.00.06-Windows-x86) from http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/AM437X/latest/index_FDS.html

I would be grateful if anyone could help me resolve this issue/

Hi,

This is a third-party board, that isn't directly supported by RTOS. You will need to port it. Please post what issues you face.

I am new in this area. In general, the task is to create applications running in real time with a guaranteed 50 ms cycle. VAR-SOM-AM43 Yocto 1.6 (Daisy) is installed on the board, but I did not find in the description of parameters mention about real time. And I decided to pay attention to the RTOS. Now the task of installing the OS on board to write and test software.

I would be grateful for information to solve this problem.

Maybe someone already on the forum faced a similar problem and could suggest an algorithm for solving the problem step by step...

I have notified the RTOS team, but their response may be delayed due to holidays in the USA this week. Meanwhile you can search the forum by typing keywords in the search window on top of the forum page.

Ivan,

the VAR-SOM-AM43x is not supported out of the box using the Processor SDK RTOS as you can see from the Release notes:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_Supported_Platforms_and_Versions

you can check with the design house Varscite if their DVK has support for RTOS. The support for this platform can be obtained from their forums:
variscite.com/.../index.php

Please let us know if they don`t support RTOS on this platform and we can provide some guidance to help you port the RTOS software to this platform.
