demo does not work on dm6467T EVM

Hello,

We tried running demos for DM6467T EVM, I launched ./interface or ./decode and get this error

Failed to create display device instance

We checked modules

Module                  Size Used by
dsplinkk              101520 0
cmemk                  20070 0
ipv6                  228907 12
minix                  25382 0

We access file system through NFS but even when using EVM's HD file system we have same error.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.4 LTS with Minicom virtualized through VirtualBox

EVM : DM6467T

DSPLink 1.64

DVSDK 3.1

Windows 7 pro 64 bits

Display: sony bravia EX500

Could anyone help us ?

I think it maybe uboot config was wrong.

Hi CC,

Well ,if the error is Failed to create display device instance , there is a possibilty the display device has been already working.

As far as I know , if you use EVM's HD file system , then the dm6467t will automatically run the demo.

So in fact, when you run the encode or decode program from the command line , the display device has already been occupied.

If you want to run the program from the command line ,you'd better kill the demo process first.

We tried to boot both from EVM's HD file system and and NFS.
